Pupils from Years 9-13 were received with great enthusiasm at a public concert of chamber music at the historic Bristol Music Club on 30 April.

They performed movements from Brahms' turbulent Piano Quartet No.1, Ravel's luminous String Quartet and the complete 2nd String Quartet by Borodin.

Two virtuosic violin solos – Wieniawski's Faust Fantaisie and Sarasate's Caprice Basque – were also performed by pupils in Year 12.

Well done to all performers for such a mature and fresh ensemble musicianship and thanks to Ms McCarthy (Cello and Chamber Music Coach), Mr Willshire (Head of Keyboard), Mr Drinkwater (Director of Music) for their work with the groups.
