Lottie Jackson (HH 2011) has just published See Me Rolling is partly a memoir, but also an essay collection that tackles the stigma surrounding disability. Using her first-hand experiences, she set out to communicate both the injustices and untold joys of disability. She breaks this down into several key areas – asking, can we redefine our philosophy of beauty, freedom, identity, education, productivity, love and desire in a culture that demands physical perfection? |
