Remembrance Weekend to mark the end of the First World War.

All OCs and guests are welcome to a weekend in Montreuil-sur-Mer to mark the end of the First World War.  The Remembrance Weekend will be based in the town where Field Marshal Haig was located during the First World War.

 

Le Castel des Anges was Field Marshal Haig’s headquarters during the First World War.

The weekend has been organised as follows:

 

Friday 9th November 2018

 

• Travel

• • Make own arrangements to travel to Montreuil which is approximately 70km from the Eurotunnel and takes just under an hour to drive.
  • Possibly follow the Commonwealth War Graves trail via Saint-Omer, Fromelles, & Béthune to Montreuil.

 

• Accommodation in:

 

• • the Best Western , Hôtel HERMITAGE, Place Gambetta, 62170 Montreuil Sur Mer.

 

• Gourmet Dinner

 

• • 3/4 course Dinner with wine at Le Darnétal Restaurant - Montreuil Sur Mer

 

Saturday 10th November 2018

 

• Breakfast is included in your accommodation package.

 

• Day spent exploring Montreuil sur Mer and environs
