Restoration of Field Marshal Earl Haig's Statue in Montreuil
Thursday, 5 May 2022

Haig is obviously a divisive figure, but not one who should be posthumously ‘cancelled’, at least in my opinion. Congratulations, therefore, to John Acton [OH 1958], who successfully masterminded the restoration of his statue in Normandy. It was officially unveiled in June, to great acclaim and amid considerable ceremony!
